UPCOMING CLASSES:
Sunday evening scaries? Feeling like you haven't been able to fully relax or have a decent night's sleep in a while? You're not alone.
Unwind the mind and relax your body in this special Sunday evening class.
This class combines two powerful practices to help your body and mind release tension and ease into relaxation.
Restorative Yoga is a practice where you are supported by props to cultivate feelings of deep relaxation. Each pose is held between 5 and 10 minutes. I'll be weaving in mindful breathwork and visualization throughout, as well as providing time for quiet.
Nidra, a Sanskrit term meaning "yogic sleep" is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation. With the body completely relaxed, I will guide you through a set of instructions that allow you to turn inwards and enter into a state between sleeping and waking. It is said that 20 minutes of a yoga nidra practice has the benefits of 2 hours of sleep.
This practice is designed to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is our rest and digest mode. This is the place we want to be to rejuvenate the body and mind, and it can lead to better and deeper sleep patterns.
Get cozy and get ready to ease into your Sunday evening!

“Kathy’s Sunday evening Restorative & yoga Nidra class was the perfect cap to a winter's night. The balance between breathwork and body awareness set the stage for a beautiful night’s rest!”

“Last night’s session was such a success for me; I haven’t been sleeping for weeks, but last night I got in a full sleep... *sigh - I even nodded off during shavasana. And - The poses with bolster under the spine dissolved the back pain I had all day"
Thank you, Kathy!”

“I think I may have been one of the lucky ones to attend the first class that Kathy ever taught. We were in Mexico at a yoga retreat. She was gentle, funny, human and had a lovely genuine essence. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of watching Kathy grow her practice and evolve into a yogi-preneur who runs international retreats (I’ve been on two of them and LOVED both). I enjoy her style - a great mix of all forms of yoga with a deep understanding of the physical body, the mind, and how-to bring peace and healing to both.”
